on the following terms:

1. The period of hire is xx months finishing on date. Please note that the minimum hire period is 6 months.

2. The harp is insured by Telynau Teifi. The Hirer undertakes to look after the harp, to keep it in an appropriate environment, and to transport it with care. In the event of the harp being lost or damaged the Hirer undertakes to inform Telynau Teifi immediately by telephone or email. No repairs or servicing of the harp may be undertaken except by Telynau Teifi.

3. The harp will normally be kept by the Hirer at the address on this Agreement. The Hirer must notify Telynau Teifi if the harp is to be kept at any other location.

4. The Hirer is responsible for collecting the harp at the start of the hire period and for returning the harp to Telynau Teifi at Llandysul no later than the last day of the hire period. Late return of the harp will result in a deduction from the deposit returned, and the Hirer will be responsible for any costs incurred by Telynau Teifi in recovering the harp.

5. The Hirer is responsible for replacing strings which break or are damaged. Strings should be obtained from Telynau Teifi.

6. The Hirer will pay a deposit of £100 to Telynau Teifi before the start of the hire period. This deposit will be returned at the end of the hire period if the harp is returned promptly and undamaged.

7. The cost of the hire will be £40 per month (including VAT and insurance), payable in advance, and the Hirer will set up a Bankers Order for monthly payments.

8. Telynau Teifi reserves the right to amend the hire cost if the hirer wishes to continue hiring after the expiry date of this agreement.

9. The Hirer may purchase the harp before the end of the hire period for the current retail price at the time of purchase. A proportion of the hire cost paid to date will be offset against the price as follows:

100 % of the hire cost paid to date if the purchase price is paid within 6 months of the start of the hire period

None of the hire cost paid will be offset against the purchase price after 6 months of the start of the hire period

10. The Hirer may not use the harp for commercial purposes or hire the harp to any third party. If the Hirer wishes the harp to be used by any person not identified in this Agreement the written permission of Telynau Teifi must be obtained.

11. Telynau Teifi has the right to terminate the hire if:

the Hirer fails to pay the hire cost on the due date

or

the Hirer is in breach of any terms of this Hire Agreement

In the event of termination, the Hirer will be responsible for returning the harp to Telynau Teifi in Llandysul within 7 days of this date. If Telynau Teifi has to recover the harp, the costs of recovery will be deducted from the deposit. Also the Hirer will be liable to Telynau Teifi for the cost of hire for the full period agreed in paragraph 1.
