The semi tones on your harp are set to a tempered scale and will give years of service. If over time adjustments prove necessary they are quite simple to do. These are the two most likely to be required:
- If the string were to buzz towards the top when the semi tone is engaged (this can be caused by the nip up between the two forks not being enough)
REMEDY – Slacken the screw with an allen key and rotate the brass eccentric sleeve in order to displace the string further over when nipping up with the other fork. At the far treble end the semi tone devices have a single pin for displacement – simply slacken the tab screws and move the semi tone body towards the string a small amount and retighten the screw using a No.1 Philips screwdriver.
